Historical References[ | ]

Axes have seen been used as weapons since the stone age, with their simple design and low production cost making them popular hand-to-hand combat weapons among those unable to afford a sword. Often associated with vikings, historical battle axes had much thinner and lighter heads than wood axes, which may make them seem small compared to the colossal hunks of metal often depicted in video games and fantasy. One-handed battle axes were also sometimes used by cavalry up until the 17th Century.

Notes and Trivia[ | ]

While thrusting with the axe deals very little damage, its attack release speed is quite fast and can catch enemies off guard. Mix up your attacks by occasionally flinching your enemy with thrusts, then following up with a kick and a strike.
