Mordhau is a multiplayer-only fighting game being developed by Triternion, set in an authentic medieval setting focusing on customization and ability to play as any kind of warrior the player desires.

The core feature of the game is a fluid, dynamic combat system that doesn't rely on pre-set moves, but rather fine control over the weapon. This emphasizes player skill and clever use of real techniques, including halfswording, mouse-dragging (the good kind) and more.

Mordhau was partially financed through a Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and 4,375 backers donated $298,608 to realize this project.

Why Kickstarter?

“	Up until now, we have been operating without a budget, living off of our personal savings, and working part-time jobs. To be able to finish Mordhau in a reasonable amount of time and survive the costs that come with it, we decided to ask you, our backers, for help. The target goal we've set will let us release the game in time, but just barely. The more money we raise, the smoother the ride. This means more things we can include, and a better, more polished final product. Below we have compiled an estimate of how the $80,000 will be spent.Any additional money raised will go towards development.	„

Mordhau

Mordhau was released on 29 April, 2019 on PC via Steam.

Mordhau is a medieval first & third person multiplayer slasher. Enter a hectic battlefield of up to 64 players as a mercenary in a fictional, but realistic world, where you will get to experience the brutal and satisfying melee combat that will have you always coming back for more.

Features:

Massive battles: From small-scale engagements to 64-player all-out war in modes such as Frontline and Battle Royale.
Cooperative & offline play: Fight waves of enemies alongside your friends in the cooperative Horde mode, or practice your skills offline against AI.
Free-form melee and ranged combat: Gain complete control over your character and attacks and develop your unique style.
In-depth character customization: Sculpt your face, create your weapon from parts, and pick out individual pieces of armor to create the perfect warrior.
Huge arsenal of weapons & equipment: Take on enemies with a greatsword, rain arrows from above, or even sit back and build fortifications.
Fight anywhere: Experience cavalry charges, fight on ladders, and operate siege engines such as the catapult and ballista.
